Development for a financial blog.
Here’s the deal: Before I hired a developer, I had no idea what to look for. I’d reach out to various candidates, and they’d show me examples of websites, and I’d be like, “um, nice code?” Because what is there to say, really? “Great website; it’s not broken!” I had no idea how to evaluate one person over another.
Armed with this sheer lack of knowledge, I hired my first developer — Some Other Guy — and he was fine. Meh. Nothing much to report.
Later, however, when I needed someone to build my newly-designed website, I found Zach. And WHOA, now I get it. He understands the world of blogging and email list-building and conversions. He has ideas and vision and innovation. He’s creative and brings life and energy to the project. He’s a huge asset to my business. In fact … gee … maybe I shouldn’t be writing him this glowing review. No, no, definitely don’t hire Zach. He’s busy. 🙂
